I grew up in Montgomery, Al, but moved to NYC after Auburn and met my Jersey boy, Stephen and moved to the shore. We have 3 girls Mollie 12, LuLu 10, and Ivy Kate 7
- When did you start CFP?
Around the open in 2013….I had no idea what any of that was about for sure…
- What’s your biggest fitness/health accomplishment since starting CFP?
There are so many, but in the gym….I probably worked the hardest to get pull-ups, since I was being forced to do ring rows and those are no bueno after a million…..but at home…keeping up with the girls and being able to move furniture around without Stephen’s help….which to him, I think can be bittersweet……
- What are your future fitness goals?
um, I’m guessing by this question I should make some of those……
- What do you do for fun?
hang with my family by the pool or in the craft room…watching CrossFit you tube with Stephen and Lulu (we like to consider ourselves Elite Spectators)…..and constantly rearranging our house
- Favorite lift/workout?
Squat Cleans for lifts and for workouts usually a chipper or EMOM
- Least favorite lift/workout?
ASSAULT BIKE…..Dislike that A LOT or Double Unders….
- What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start at United Performance?
Just go! The beginning will always feel impossible and intimidating and it never really gets easier but you’ll be amazed how quickly you will start feeling more comfortable and look forward to being there! Besides, being more fit overall, you gain a whole new gym family, which is a total bonus! Oh, and just listen to the coaches…..each one seems to have different cues that will make something that seemed so hard just click!
