1. Where are you from? What do you do for work? Family?
I was born and raised in NJ- I work in the financial services industry- I am married to Leslie, and we have 3 fantastic daughters
2. When did you start CFP?
I started CrossFit in April 2014 at Passion
3. What’s your biggest fitness/health accomplishment since starting CFP?
The biggest change initially was a large loss in weight-fat. Since I have gained a decent amount of lean muscle, and feel fantastic
4. What are your future fitness goals?
Not to hate Thrusters, kiddin. For me it’s always amazing to see what my 46 year old body can accomplish. Since starting CrossFit I am reaching fitness goals I would have never imagined 2 years ago. I have made it a point over the last 8 months to focus more on intensity then amount of weight prescribed in our daily workouts. I want to be able to push past my self-imposed capacities.
5. What do you do for fun?
Play with my kids, Fish, and shoot guns at the range.
6. Favorite lift/workout?
The Clean and Jerk/ Grace (30 C&J @ 135# for time)… Anything Rowing
7. Least favorite lift/workout?
Thrusters/Burpees…. They own me.
8. What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start at United Performance?
No matter your physical condition, or age CrossFit is really for everyone. The community (fellow members) have all started somewhere, and are very supportive. No one should expect to have to be able to pull ups, climb a rope, front squat heavy, etc….. But starting is the hardest part, but once you commit you will have a HUGE level of support to help you along the way. I have made many new friends through CrossFit.
