1.      Where are you from? What do you do for work? Family?

I’m from Colorado, but my blood’s gotten too thin from the beautiful Atlanta weather so I wouldn’t move back.

I’ve worked in investment banking, trading, and PCS for most of my career.  Currently, I’m a private wealth manager for a family trust.  I’m loving the reduced hours and flexibility of the job (ie – more CrossFit and outdoor time!).

I have three beautiful (and drama-filled) girls – 12, 10, and 8 that keep me on my toes!


2.      When did you start CFP?

My first CrossFit class was in August of 2012.  I’ve always been a gym rat, looking for the next “craze”.  I was just starting to hear about CrossFit so I honestly bought a groupon thinking I’d go for 30 days and get a few new workout ideas that I could incorporate into what I was already doing.  But, Travis coached the class and put me in my place pretty quickly.  3 ½ years later he’s still doing it!


3.      What’s your biggest fitness/health accomplishment since starting CFP?

Understanding CrossFit!  Now that’s a journey that’s not even close to completion.  3 ½ years in and light bulbs still go off!  CrossFit is as much of a mental journey as a physical one for me!


4.      What are your future fitness goals?

Mental strength.  I’m still scared to pick up the “heavy” weight!  I know it drives Travis and Taylor crazy! Ha!


5.      What do you do for fun?

Well, clearly every one of my Facebook friends know that Jill and I like to have a few party nights out!  It’s all about moderation people! Lolol!

I love the outdoors – must be the Colorado girl in me!  I love to hike, or really do anything outside where I can enjoy the Atlanta weather!


6.      Favorite lift/workout?

Front squats.  And, I LOVE chippers!


7.      Least favorite lift/workout?

Snatches – blech!!


8.      What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start at United Performance?

My biggest sell when I talk about CFP is that the coaches are super technical.  Learn the proper technique from the get-go so you stay healthy and advance!  Second, this group is up for anything – from paddle board yoga to tough mudder to fun nights out!  You’ll find lots to do both in and out of the box with this crew!
